PHIFER ICE DAM PARK

The Phifer Ice Dam Park is Franklin Twonship's community park. The closest thing to "HOME" for the Franklin Lions Club. The site of the Daniel Lesher Pavilion, Getz Memorial Band Shell, and the Franklin Kids' Creation Playground; all past Lions projects.

PLAYGROUND

The Franklin Kids' Creation Playground is an ongoing project. The playground was constructed by volunteers and is now a popular place for parents and children alike to have fun.

CONCERTS IN PARK

Free concerts are held at the Getz Memorial Band Shell at the Phifer Ice Dam Park throughout the summer. Concert Schedule

CANS FOR BOOKS

A unique project that combines recycling with reading. Franklin Elementary students receive books in exchange for aluminum cans. Collection dates and places. Over 1,000,000 cans recycled to date.
Collection Dates:
Third Friday of each month 3-4 PM at the Franklin Elementary School
Third Saturday of the month 9-10 AM at the Ice Dam.
